In this session we introduce HART’s Housing Accelerator Tool. The Tool seeks to provide evidence-based scenario modelling to maximize the quantum and quality of affordable non-market housing on government and non-profit land. HART is developing a public-facing, web-based tool to demonstrate the impact of policy decisions on housing costs in three core areas: land, financing, and design/construction. The Tool will identify feasible, evidence-based strategies to reduce or eliminate obstacles to use of public and non-profit land for non-market housing.
