Join Dr. Carolyn Whitzman and Laura Murphy at the Parkland Institute annual fall conference in Edmonton, and learn about the tools needed to realize the right to adequate housing in Canada. This conference is titled Alberta at the Crossroads: Building the World We Want, and brings together thinkers, writers, and activists from across Canada to share work that aims to move Alberta forward.

Dr. Carolyn Whitzman is a housing and social policy consultant and expert advisor for the HART project at UBC, focused on housing assessments using open data. She has authored six books, including “Clara at the Door with a Revolver” (2023) and the upcoming “How to Home: Fixing Canada’s Housing Crisis” (2024). Laura Murphy is an Edmonton-based housing researcher.
